Kai’s home crate is the MidWest iCrate, and it was great. The divider is what made crate training work. Great quality, though it doesn’t replace a walk.
Kai crate trained in this one, and he loved it. The divider grows with a puppy, so you don’t buy two.

The divider is the whole trick
Buy the size he’ll grow into. Set the divider so the puppy space is small, then move it back as your puppy fills out. The divider is what made crate training work. If he can’t lie flat on his side, it’s too small. If he pees in the back, the divider comes forward. Keep settle reps short. A cover helps some nights. It isn’t a full-day babysitter.
What it won’t fix
It won’t tire out a herding dog, and it won’t make adolescence polite. A long day needs people and exercise. A bigger crate doesn’t help.
Sizing notes are on Best Crate. Rooms get gates. Kai’s first crate nights had the Snuggle Puppy in there with him. The starter set is the Owner’s Kit.
The travel crate that rides in the back of my SUV is the SportPet Rolling XL.
